A large Specialty Medical Office is seeking to add a full-time, Direct Hire/Permanent Clinical Medical Assistant to it's health care team.
PAY SCALE: $24,000.00 per year ($11.50 per hour) to $28,600.00 per year ($13.50 per hour) based on experience.
JOB TYPE: Temporary to Permanent, Full-time. Includes HEALTH CARE BENEFITS.
WORK HOURS: Days, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Forty (40) hour work week.
EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION: A minimum of One (1) year of work experience as a Clinical Medical Assistant is mandatory. High school diploma or equivalent.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Phlebotomy experience (160 or more human draws) not required but is a plus.
Obtain patient assessments and scribe into EMR system.
Have a working knowledge of medical terms and how they relate to the anatomy of the body.
Prepare patients emotionally and physically for examination.
Be able to prepare a patient's chart and have a working knowledge of the legal do's and don'ts' in charting patient information.
Interview patient and record information in the patient's chart.
Perform asepsis procedures in applying bandage and tape to minor wounds.
Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height and record the results.
Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patient.
Inventory and order medical supplies and materials.
Have a working knowledge of OSHA Rules and Regulations concerning Universal Precautions. Be able to perform proper procedures to protect against transmitting or contracting diseases.
Be aware of Patient's Right's, HIPAA , HAZCOM procedures, and National Patient Safety goals (JCAHO).
Assist in the application, adjustment & removal of casts.
BENEFITS:
1.) HEALTH CARE: There is three (2) health care plans each with four (4) tiers Blue Cross/Blue Shield ($500.00 deductible) and Blue Cross/Blue Shield Healthy HDHP ($1,300 deductible). Tiers are : (1) Employee, (2) Employee and child(ren), (3) Employee & spouse, (4) Employee and family42 day waiting period on health insurance,on dental and vision (no charge for the dental & vision coverage). Plan costs vary from $20.00 biweekly for single coverage and up to $190.00/biweekly for employee & family coverage.
2.) DENTAL plan includes 2 cleanings annually. Employee is responsible for a small percentage of cost towards all additional services. There is a 6 month waiting period prior to being accepted into the plan.
3.) VISION coverage includes Bi-annual eyeglasses at no cost. Employee is responsible for a small percentage of cost towards contact lenses. There is a 6 month waiting period prior to being accepted into the plan.
4.) VACATION: Earn 4 hours vacation per pay period (biweekly) Additional vacation days earned on anniversary date (1 day on 1st anniversary, 2 days on 2nd anniversary, maxing out at 7 days on 7th anniversary). Can carry over from year to year max of 40 hours of vacation.
5.) PERSONAL: Accrue 5 personal days per year.
6.) SICK: Accrue 4 hours sick leave per pay period. Can carry over from year to year max of 200 hours of sick leave.
7.) HOLIDAYS: 4 floating holidays each year, plus 8 paid holidays.
8.) RETIREMENT PLAN: After 5 years of employment - fully vested in retirement plan. 8% of annual salary is the employer contribution to the retirement plan effective after 1 year of employment. No requirement for employee to match.
