Overview:
The Domain Architect & Technical Lead for Disease Sciences & Biologics (DSB) IT is accountable for the development of Disease Sciences & Biologics information technology and platform architecture; and is responsible for ensuring the successful adoption and implementation of solutions based on roadmaps aligned with business strategy. The incumbent will also ensure that architecture and other technical decisions support business and RITA strategies, and stay compliant with all relevant BMS SOPs. Accountabilities: 1. Serving as Domain Architect for Disease Sciences & Biologics IT, creates, assesses & documents architectural designs in direct support of Roadmap & Capability development. a. Performs complex architectural assessments supporting business case development, application architecture development, technology decisions, and process optimization activities. b. Delivers actionable conceptual and logical architectural designs using established enterprise and application design patterns c. Captures and documents existing business processes using standard modeling notation (e.g., BPMN) d. Document and maintain “as-is” and “to-be” application, data & technology architectures. e. Ensure appropriate lifecycle plans are created and implemented in compliance with required SOPs. 2. Serving as Technology Lead for Disease Sciences & Biologics oversees the implementation of Biologics LevTech IT Roadmap a. Creates, documents and implements IT solutions using established enterprise and application design patterns b. Identifies needed development resources and directs their day-to- day activities of off-site developers c. Participates in Vendor evaluations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
8-10 years of experience in the Bio-Pharmaceutical (or related) industry.
MS Degree (or equivalent) in either Computer Science (or related field), with professional experience in Biological Life Sciences, or Biology (or related field), with professional experience as a Domain and-or Technical Architect.
General awareness and appreciation of trends and developments in the Pharmaceutical industry affecting IT decisions
Experience developing technology and platform strategies that support the Disease Sciences and/or Biologics domains.
Ability to identify and evaluate vendors, create and manage POCs, and assist with final application and Platforms purchase decisions.
Experience developing future-state technology strategies.
Experience developing and influencing business strategies.
Strong communication, facilitation and relationship building skills.
Experience developing and leading innovative solutions.
Experience leading change and challenging approaches and ideas.
Ability to interpret and communicate IT-related information into business language.
Experience developing and managing relationships with third party suppliers.
Experience delivering solutions within regulated environment.
Experience identifying technology opportunities to deliver operational efficiencies and-or completive advantage to a business domain
