Job Classification: Full-Time Regular
Our client is seeking a well rounded ceramic or materials science engineer for their state of the art ceramic/advanced materials components manufacturing facility. Company develops next generation technology for aerospace, pharmaceutical, petroleum, automotive markets-in addition to others. This position will focus on advanced materials on ceramics.
Position Responsibilities:
-Process production engineer to oversee green pressing and grinding to sintering
-Ability to increase through put, decrease rejects and maximize furnace product capacity to increase customer delivery
-Knowledge of materials such as alumina oxide, (Al02), silicon carbides, (SiCa), alumina nitrides, (Al1N1), etc.
-Monitor kiln / furnaces burn profiles, troubleshoot, design and installation and preventive maintenance (in excess of 20 kilns [oxygen and vacuum])
-Be knowledgeable about material properties, such as moisture content and density
-Monitor materials for defects
-Document and review actions for future reference and to ensure quality
-Desired: Supervise team-hire, train, review job performance, or willingness to grow to
Position Requirements:
-Experience in ceramic production
-Kiln /furnace operations in industrial setting experience
-Knowledge of materials, such as alumina and silicon carbide and aluminum nitride
-Expertise with vacuum furnaces
-Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
-Leadership experience
-Desired: experience in refractories or advanced ceramics market
