Welder - Second Shift (Job Number: 150000F8)

Description

As a Welder at Caterpillar Inc., you will weld together fabricated piece parts by using semi-automatic MIG welder. You will use a weld gauge to measure welds and use air arc and grinder to remove/repair welds. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Blueprint Reading

* Weld to 1E99 spec

* Weld on flat horizontal surfaces.

* Welding together fabricated piece parts by using semi-automatic MIG welder

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* 1 to 2 years of welding experience.

* Ability to read blueprints. 

* Ability to work safely and wear all required PPE. 

Desired Qualifications:

* Experience in vertical or overhead welding. 

* Welding certification or associates degree.

Additional Information:

* Position is on 2nd shift, Mon-Thurs 2:30 pm to 1 am

* Located in Elkader, Iowa

* Full time with benefits

* No relocation is provided
