Job Description: Orthopedic surgeon specializes in spine procedure but due to his large patient base he often receives referrals for general orthopedic procedures that he does not perform. Currently he has to refer these patients out to another practice. Houston Northwest Medical Center has been awarded the Spring ISD Sports Medicine contract which has created and additional need for Orthopedic Surgeons to support the program. In addition, there are multiple businesses moving into the area including Exxon Mobil which is estimated to bring 80,000 new people in the service area by 2015.
Hours and Call requirements: Staff an outpatient clinic with typical business hours M-F from 8:30a-5:30p.
Ideal Candidate: Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with an emphasis on general orthopedics. Someone who is excited to serve a diverse and growing population and has the energy to participate in sports team game coverage. Able to put in the appropriate hours to get his/her practice running smoothly. Has a desire to market him/herself to the community.
