The Parks and Lodging Line of Business is responsible for setting the standards and developing strategic direction for 12 theme parks, 2 water parks, 3 Downtown Disney/Disney Village locations, ESPN Wide World of Sports, Transportation and over 47 hotels with 42,899 rooms combined worldwide.


Responsibilities
In this role, the Director, Parks and Lodging Line of Business will be the key point of contact at the Disneyland Resort for all Parks and Lodging Line of Business efforts. This person will be responsible for partnering with senior leadership to develop strategic direction and associated tactics to move solutions forward.

This individual will develop plans with site leadership and actively resource against projects by leveraging either local or deployed resources within our LOB's in the following areas:

Vacation Experience Development & Planning--Drive the development of mid to long-term strategies focused on the future vacation experience leveraging deep insights & expertise of internal/external business.

Operations Development--Drive the development and delivery of key attractions and hotel development.

Next Generation Products and Experiences, and Operations Systems Integration--Drive the creation and innovation of new Cast and Guest-facing products and experiences, while supporting the development and delivery of critical operations technology.

LOB Subject Matter Expertise--Drive the development and delivery for:
The end-to-end arrival experience integration between Parks and Hotels, including Front Desk to Vacation planning, Guest Relations/Lobby Concierge to DSA-IPO integration
Attractions, Aquatics, Recreation and other niche Guest Activities initiative
Major cleanliness related initiatives in Housekeeping and Custodial (in addition to the DLR responsibilities, owns global responsibilities for the team of subject matter experts)

Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a hotel or park operations field
Strong business acumen with proven track record in delivering operational excellence and leading and influencing others
Proven experience developing an overarching strategy to drive results through influence, relationships, strong business acumen and strategic thinking
Proven ability to support global initiatives and drive work on a scale that is needed to support a high volume, exceptional guest experiences
Build and foster relationships with cross functional partners and lead in a collaborative style as well as communicate in an engaging, impactful manner
Previous experience leading and influencing others
Demonstrated passion and commitment to diversity and inclusion including inviting diverse perspectives, fostering an inclusive work environment and supporting workforce diversity

Preferred Qualifications
Proven executive experience in the hotel or park operations field
Proven experience in a multicultural environment

Preferred Education
MBA

Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
