Position Description
Alcoa Inc. has an exciting Internship opportunity within its Warrick Operations global packaging Business Unit location, near Evansville, IN. Warrick Operations includes two coal mines, a power plant, smelting, casting, rolling, and finishing facilities.
This summer intern position will support the information services group with one or more phases of the systems development life cycle methodology including requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation. The applicant must demonstrate the capabilities for leadership, project management, business analysis, analytical thinking, and problem solving. We are targeting students entering their senior/final year of school.
Basic Qualifications
Currently pursuing a BS or MS Degree from an accredited college or university in the following disciplines: Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
Understanding of systems analysis and design
Technical proficiency in programming and SQL
Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
Entering Senior or final year of college
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment.
Desire to work in a manufacturing environment
