Sales Account Rep - Prospecting

Responsible for proactive cold calling and sales prospecting for Delta Global Sales. Requires skill set to sell and close new corporate prospecting opportunities in the small to medium sized enterprise. Strong cold-calling sales and customer service background essential to help drive positive results and support the sales strategy for Delta's new business area. Must be a self-starter and good analytical thinker with an innovative approach to selling and problem solving. Provide accounts with information working in conjunction with National and Global corporate sales teams to help develop sales programs, partnerships, network and market level detail as needed. Ensure thorough understanding of strategic and tactical information to support business objectives. Ability to utilize Hoover's and iSell to gather leads is a plus and follow-up on internal leads with a quick turnaround. Applicant must be flexible with work shift based upon operational need. Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Minimum 2 years relevant work experience required preferably in sales, customer service, call center, or marketing positions. Bachelor's degree preferred. Current or past experience in Reservations Sales and knowledge of DLTerm or CMS is a plus. Must have excellent customer service skills, ability to effectively negotiate new corporate contracts and apply creative problem solving techniques. Possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well with others in a team environment. Demonstrates the ability to multi-task and utilize strong organizational skills. Working knowledge of cold calling and prospecting is a plus. Proficient PC skills, including use of Microsoft Office Suite is required. Must be willing and able to travel on a limited basis and must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
