The General Mills Chanhassen, MN Plant is seeking candidates with Ammonia experience for our Core Utilities opening. The position will work 4 ten hour days (9pm " 7am; Wednesday " Saturday). After 9 months in role all employees have the opportunity to change shifts/ days as openings become available.

PURPOSE:
Cross functional highly skilled technician with primary focus on utilities maintenance (ammonia, boiler, HVAC systems and other building items)

MINIMUM/BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

Must have 1 years of utilities maintenance experience, or tech school diploma in related field. Experience operating and maintaining an ammonia refrigeration system is preferred
Ammonia refrigeration experience required.
Boiler certifications preferred 
CMMS experience required.
CARO/CIRO RETA certification preferred. 
Must be HAZWOPER certified or able to obtain certification.
Must meet physical requirements as outlined in Maintenance physical demands document 
Must meet requirements for using an APR respirator and SCBA
Must be able to purchase or have tools required for maintenance jobs per minimum requirements, see maintenance required tool list. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Perform both uptime and down time maintenance function (PMs Generated from CMMS) 
Maintaining facility equipment supporting production 
Perform assigned maintenance work orders (work orders generated from CMMS) 
Perform daily rounds/checks of ammonia system
Utilize CMMS with platforms and maintenance teams to identify and track completed tasks.
Work with operation technicians and floor maintenance teams to correct freezer and climate issues (freezer defrosts, room temperatures, compressed air systems, etc.) 
Perform hot and cold compressor and motor alignments.
Troubleshoot pump recirculating systems and liquid transfer systems.
Understand and follow all OSHA, EPA and PSM guidelines including MOCs, P&IDs, vessel drawings, IIAR 109s, SOPs, Mechanic Integrity, etc.
Perform maintenance tasks on screw compressors, pumps, motors, valve groups, condensers, evaporators, chillers, etc.
Technical reliability resource for training and utilization of preventative and predictive maintenance, project support, system upgrades and modifications, and troubleshooting.
Coordinate prioritization of work orders with floor maintenance techs and Team Leaders.
Support floor mechanics if needed. 
Resource for Continuous Improvement activities.
Train others on Utilities systems such as engine room, freezers, etc. 
Promote safety and actively participate in CHAMPS program.
