Amazon Cloud Architect
Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly required.
SAIC seeks a candidate with a four or more years experience as a Solutions Architect. Two or more years experience in designing distributed systems and defining requirements within Amazon Web Servcies (AWS). Must be able to design and deploy scalable, highly available and fault tolerant systems. Understand stateless and loosely coupled distributed applications and systems. Familiar with Auto Scaling Groups, CloudWatch, Cloud Former, design/build Cloud Formation templates and event driven cloud functions. Familiar with AWS Simple Calculator for estimating costs and factors that impact cost control factors. Familiar with Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Submets, Routing Tables, Access Control Lists (ACLs), Security Groups, Direct Connect, Rout 53, DNS, and Load Balancing. Familiary with IAM and other AWS services e.g. Elastic Beanstalk, SNS, and SQS. Familiary with object, block and archive storage e.g. AWS Glacier. Ability to architect within AWS RDS and best practices. Education Bachelor of Science in an engineering or technical field Certifications Required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Desired: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional Security Clearance TS/SCI with a favorable polygraph exam
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in a related technical field and 6+ years related experience.
Four or more years experience as a Solutions Architect.
Two or more years experience in designing distributed systems and defining requirements within Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Ability to design and deploy scalable, highly available and fault tolerant systems.
Understand stateless and loosely coupled distributed applications and systems.
