Job Description:
This student Co-Op will be a member of a Quality Assurance team that is responsible for a mission-critical UPS application that allows customers to prepare, label, ship, track and manage their UPS shipping needs.
The Co-Op will be:
Participating in functional requirements and application development design meetings
Analyzing functional requirements
Writing well-written, maintainable test cases that map to functional requirements
Conducting test execution activities and logging well-written defects
Using QA test tools as well as MS Office 2013
This Co-Op will have visibility within the QA Team and may also interact with development and user teams. Additionally, the role involves maintaining, implementing and assisting with establishing the test methods and procedures necessary for verification.
Primary Skills:
Windows: 7, 8, and 8.1
Microsoft Office - Intermediate
Some knowledge of programming and testing
Additional Skills:
Technical Knowledge of Hardware & Software
JavaScript - Intermediate
Web Development Technologies – Beginner
LAN Administration - Beginner
Quality Center (or similar test tool) a plus
Coding experience is a plus
Good verbal/written communications skills
Self-starter
Ability to work in a team environment
Good analytical skills
Problem solving
Initiative
Organization
Planning
Must be able to work 15-20 hours - Up to 40 hours available.
Education:
The desired Co-Op must be currently enrolled in a degreed college/university program pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or graduated from a degreed college/university program within the last 24 months.
