Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky (TMMK)
This position is located at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky (TMMK) in Georgetown, KY. TMMK is part of Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North America, Inc. (TEMA). Established in 1986, TMMK is Toyota's largest North America manufacturing operation. The facility produces over 500,000 vehicles annually. Production includes assembly of the Camry, Camry Hybrid, Avalon, Venza, and the Lexus ES350 starting in August 2015. TMMK also builds 4-cylinder / V6 engines, and powertrain parts.
Responsibilities:
Job will consist of welding, grinding, operating cranes, machining, & fabrication.
May perform machining, finishing, assembly and tuning of dies.
Will support in line tryouts or line calls of dies.
May carry out emergency repairs if any issues arise.
Will work in a team setting.
Will require travel to support off site activities at NAMC’s and Toyota affiliates.
Will require daily log book entries to communicate activities, issues and progress of die work.
May require daily and weekend overtime.
Will perform die modifications for surface quality and accuracy.
Requirements:
• Skilled craftspeople must possess at least 4 years of experience or comparable education or training, building and/or maintaining high volume stamping dies, welding ability, spotting ability and hand finishing skills
• Knowledge of cutting and forming sheet metal stamping operation.
Preferred Experience for Stamping:
• Outer surface panel experience
