Description

Citigroup Derivatives Markets Inc. seeks a Trader/ Product Manager for its Minnetonka, Minnesota location.

Duties: Electronically trade a book of listed equity and index derivatives and maintain option market-making system including executing daily functions such as hedging trades, updating system parameters, maintaining spreadsheets to reconcile positions and monitor risk, researching financial statements to determine fair market value of underlying securities, calibrating existing trading strategies and developing new trade ideas to increase profitability. Liaise with Operations, Compliance, Technology, Development and Quant teams to review and advise on the development of new trading strategies and technology tools, and enhance pricing models, Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs) and quoting infrastructure. Create and implement operational procedures to increase trading opportunity, mitigate risk and ensure compliance of business. Work with Trading System Operation team to address daily real-time issues, option market-making system shortcomings, and mitigate technology risk on an ongoing basis, including performing quick calculations and real-time problems solving under high pressure situations to ensure that trades are processed properly and system issues are responded to in a timely manner. Provide expert-level support and training on the rules, regulations and infrastructure of electronic U.S. options trading to fixed income, index, commodity, and equity options desks. Work with Systematic Trading group as liaison between automated algorithmic trading and traditional options market making. Address special circumstances such as modeling stock takeovers and tender offers, questions on technology and pricing models, foreign withholding tax implications, and tools for instant risk assessment.

Qualifications

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, Computer Science or a related quantitative field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as an Options Trader or closely related position involving financial analysis, trade support or risk management of options trading. Experience must include: Performing quick calculations and real-time problem solving under high pressure situations to ensure that trades are processed properly and option market-making system issues are responded to in a timely manner; Trading and risk management of U.S. single stock options, including proficiency with modeling and pricing of term structure and comprehensive knowledge of tender offers, stock takeovers, spin off/split off reorganization, GUIs, pricing models, and risk systems; Exposure to Index options, including proficiency with modeling and pricing OEX early exercise, nuances of baskets and rolls for cash settled indices, yield curve and European box pricing; Researching financial statements to determine fair market value of securities; Working with quantitative and development teams to improve option market-making system for U.S. equities options trading, U.S. indices options trading, and continuous options quoting, including supporting the development of new technology tools and enhancing pricing models, Graphic User Interfaces and quoting infrastructure; and, Utilizing securities data and statistical analysis tools including Microsoft Excel, VBA, C++, SQL, and Matlab.
