Packaging Technician will be required to set-up, operate, change-over, maintain, and basic troubleshoot equipment used in Injectable Packaging. The technician will monitor, evaluate and adjust processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency, and make some minor repairs as required. The technician will be responsible for completion of batch records, associated documentation and SAP entries.
Packaging Technician will be required to set-up, operate, change-over, maintain, and basic troubleshoot equipment used in Injectable Packaging. The technician will monitor, evaluate and adjust processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency, and make some minor repairs as required. The technician will be responsible for completion of batch records, associated documentation and SAP entries. The technician will be responsible for helping to train other LCs and operators. Additional responsibilities include running the lines, coordinate start ups and clearances. The technician will coordinate with maintenance to complete repairs and develop solutions to mechanical hindrances. Will provide support to Technical Trainer Specialist for new equipment. The technician will need to effectively communicate with other line colleagues and support personnel.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Will be required to perform duties of the operators and Line Coordinators
Will be responsible for Operator Care program to ensure maximization and efficiencies
Functional/Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of basic discipline. Limited knowledge of industry practices and standards.
Discretion, Latitude, Level of Independence: Closely supervised. Follows specific, detailed instructions.
Impact and Organizational Contribution: Contributes to the completion of routine tasks.
Teamwork/Influence: Contacts are primarily within immediate work group or within normal process-related work flow. Strong interpersonal skill and ability to get along with other colleagues important.
Time Span of Work: Daily tasks and deliverables. Results can usually be measured on daily or weekly basis.of equipment.
•Packaging Technician will ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with applicable safety guidelines, as well as appropriate processing standards, such as FDA's current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
Education/Experience: High school diploma / general education degree (GED) and 6 months related experience or military experience or an associate’s degree.
• Certificates, Licenses or Registrations: Fork-lift certification required.
• Language Skills: Good oral and written communication skills
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate percentages as well as multiplication and division
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to analyze and troubleshoot equipment and processes
Technical Skills Requirements:
Prior mechanical experience and experience in Packaging preferred.
Physical Position Requirements:
• Physical Demands: Repetitive bending, lifting, and twisting as well as standing for extended periods of time.
• Work Environment: Colleague is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Use of hearing protection may at times be required and eye protection is required.
