*Summary*

IS Business Partner will be responsible for maintaining the relationship between the divisional business and the various teams within IS. They will act as an advocate for both their business partner and IS helping to build compelling business cases and secure funding and resources for Technology Investments to support the strategic goals of the organization. They will drive the development of the IS strategic plans (STRAP) and technology roadmaps for the Division’s needs.

Work with various levels of the business including the senior leadership of the division to understand the strategic and operational needs of the organization and translate those needs into IS requirements.

Understand the various digital technology demands of the division and drive action throughout IS to accomplish the activities that support these demands while acting as the conduit of information both to and from IS and the business.

Work independently with managerial guidance necessary in only the most complex situations. Decisions are guided by budget, policies, procedures and business plans; may adapt plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.

Maintain oversight of demand portfolio for the division and escalate as required within the business or IS to drive action.
Strategic contact for IS needs for the assigned division, globally.
Seek opportunities to leverage Digital Technologies and analytic capabilities which add value to the division
Advocate for the divisio into the broader IS community. Help build compelling business cases and secure funding and resources for Technology investments.
Understand the division’s strategy, mission, and goals, and articulate that information across IS and back to the partner to ensure alignment and appropriate, timely action.
Be an active participating member of the division’s Leadership team. Provide input into strategy, direction and business process, and jointly own the success of same (share Goals).
Drive with Value Improvement Specialists best in class practices, new technologies and applications across Business Divisions or Functions.
Coordinate with other Business Partners and Value Improvement Specialists to leverage shared opportunities
Assist in the development of the High Level Work Estimates to enable Planning and Prioritization.
Work with the division to filter and prioritize demand, and work with Portfolio Manager and other IS Business Partners to prioritize and sequence demand. They must also be able to block inappropriate actions when necessary.
Maintains oversight of demand portfolio for the division or function and escalates as required within the business or IS to drive action. Must understand the priorities, STRAP and IS's part to play in delivering success.
Drive improved customer value and satisfaction of IS products and services.
Understand the integration of the division into the overall Organization, facilitating dialog with key parties within the process as needed

Required:

College / University degree strongly preferred or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience

Preferred:

2+ yrs in supervisory or lead role strongly preferred
Has a comprehensive understanding of the business and related functional activities.
Has the ability to independently plan, control and lead projects; think and act independently; communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Has the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines and cultures with varying degrees of technical experience. Experience working in a Global environment is preferred.
Can interpret internal and external business issues and recommend best practices and business solutions; and has the ability to solve complex problems taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
Experience with SAP ECC and SAP BI tools is preferred
Strong business process knowledge in the area of CRM and eCommerce is preferred
Strong knowledge of the Industrial hygiene industry is preferred
