Description

Nestlé HealthCare Nutrition (HCN) is searching for an experienced Account Executive, OPTIFAST® to be home-based in San Francisco, CA / Seattle, WA area. This position will cover accounts in and around northern CA, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska with focus cities in San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Portland, Seattle/Tacoma, Boise. As part of Nestle Healthcare Nutrition, the OPTIFAST® Program is a comprehensive, medically monitored weight loss program that is clinically proven to help people lose weight and keep it off for the long term. The program combines the expertise of physicians, registered dieticians and behavioral counselors with a high-quality, calorie-controlled, nutritional formula.

The Account Executive position will contribute to the goals and objectives of the OPTIFAST® Division of Nestlé Healthcare Nutrition by developing OPTIFAST clinic account sales and executing business operations activities within an assigned territory. The goal of this position is to consistently meet or exceed monthly and yearly sales targets as defined by the division. This is accomplished by developing existing and new profitable business growth with a superior level of customer satisfaction.

Additional responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: 
Serves as a Business Consultant and develops plans of action for the growth of all key existing accounts by advising senior leadership personnel on business operations, financial planning, and marketing strategies. 
Understands and executes new account implementation to effectively assist hospitals and other medical facilities in establishing revenue generating clinical business programs. Includes business planning, developing marketing plans, clinic identification and set up, HCP training and ongoing operations improvement. 
Identifies senior leadership personnel of prospective hospitals and other medical facilities and regularly conducts meetings with key decision makers to establish new business or to grow existing business. 
Understands and serves as the key customer point of contact for all operational and business practice functions within territory (Customer Service, Credit, Contract Management, Distribution, Compliance, Product Sample Management, and Adherence of OPTIFAST Purchase Agreement). 
Develops annual territory plan in accordance with annual sales objectives for existing and new account business. 
Focuses time on high potential new business prospects and existing accounts in order to exceed growth objectives. 
Maintains status reports on actual verses plan performance and develops and initiates corrective actions to remain on target. 
Prospects, refines and maintains an active list of qualified new accounts to accomplish sales budget objectives. 
Develops and manages a multi-state regional call frequency plan according to sales objectives. 
Manages travel planning and expenses in accordance of policies and within assigned budget for multi-state territory. 
Completes all sales operations and other administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner. 
Delivers customer training and presentations to a multi-disciplinary team: clinical and administrative stakeholders. 
Fully understands and communicates the features and benefits of the OPTIFAST Program and can articulate that to potential targets, clinic owners, physicians and other key stakeholders. 
Understands key MSAs (Metropolitan Statistical Areas) and conducts geographical assessments and financial proformas for prospective and current customers. 
Understands all aspects to successfully operate a medical weight management business: clinical, education/behavioral, business operations, marketing and staffing. 
Has the ability to create value for the clinics/customers by applying current OPTIFAST marketing and clinical tools as integrated and/or customized solutions. 
Understands key competitors in detail and effectively positions the advantages of the OPTIFAST program against them.

Qualifications: 
BS/BA in Health or Business Field Required, MBA or RD preferred 
2-3 years successful Business Development sales experience within a hospital preferred 
2-3 years of OPTIFAST program or Weight Management industry experience preferred 
70% travel required 
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
Demonstrated successful business development experience in the healthcare environment, hospital preferred. 
Knowledge of call points and stake holders in hospitals preferred. 
Knowledge of local hospital markets preferred. 
Territory planning and account analysis skills, business & financial acumen, detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment with minimum supervision, strong analytical skills, Microsoft office: PPT, Excel and Word and CRM. 
Results focus, priority setting, timely decision making. 
Action oriented, strong drive for results, passion to win. 
Strong presentation skills & written communications. 
Customer focus, skilled to build and foster effective peer relationships.
