A350 PSE Project Engineer Senior - Any Honeywell Aerospace Site

The Production Support Engineering (PSE) organization has several A350 Project Engineering positions available across multiple sites.
The A350 PSE team is responsible for the linkage between E&T and the Operations Centers for all A350 product issues requiring E&T support. The A350 PSE team will take leadership responsibility in working with Engineering COEs and other cross-functional organizations to ensure a timely and coordinated approach to ISC production, factory support activity planning and execution.

The successful candidate will have ownership of the A350 product lines and lead the technical execution of yield, quality and manufacturability, and testability product improvements. In addition to the internal Honeywell factories this position will also support products delivered from external sub-tier suppliers. Utilizing DFSS, DMAIC principals will quantify and prioritize with AME the factors driving yield and quality issues. In addition, the candidate will coordinate with Product Design Engineers, Test Engineering, and Global Repair and Overhaul engineers to develop solutions to address key factors and introduce product and process improvement actions that positively impact yield, quality and overall delivery performance.
General responsibilities:
Serve as project execution focal and escalation point for all A350 related Operations Center production and factory issues, problems, escapes, and flow disruptions
Generate BoE and plans for projects and initiatives, as needed, and drive consistent execution
Interface with ISC (Operations, AME, QA, Procurement), SBU’s, C&PS, MSEA, ECOE, Engineering Test Services, and Product Integrity including Chief Engineers as needed
Assists and ensures the application of Six Sigma DMAIC principles in product investigations and improvements
Application of applicable APQP tools, methodologies, and processes to capture applicable product and failure mode knowledge and lessons learned.
Provide manufacturing feedback and lessons learned to design COEs and PSE Strategic Process Team
Drive adoption and deployment of key HOS methodologies such as Tiered Accountability, Rapid Problem Solving, Visual Management, Leadership Standard Work, Gemba and Kaizens
Align funding and demand signals across ISC to generate a cohesive signal to engineering
Support technical questions and provide oversight as needed with relevant suppliers, vendors & their products
Key Success Factors:
Establish the PSE organization roles, responsibilities and engagement within A350 to make the difference
Establish a strong, credible working relationship with Integrated Supply Chain and After Market Services organization
Timeliness and responsiveness to factory issues, product escapes, and flow disruption
Reducing product PPM and improving OTTR and RTY
supporting the Airbus goals for product industrialization and rate production
Delivering on customer’s expectations of escape-free products
Basic Qualifications:
If located in the United States, must be a US citizen or permanent resident due to government contracts
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or similar discipline is required
Senior Project Engineer - 6+ years demonstrated experience in engineering and / or leadership roles to include development, testing, quality assurance, or certification of avionics products for aerospace applications
Principal Project Engineer - 8+ years demonstrated experience in engineering and / or leadership roles to include development, testing, quality assurance, or certification of avionics products for aerospace applications
Staff Project Engineer - 10+ years demonstrated experience in engineering and / or leadership roles to include development, testing, quality assurance, or certification of avionics products for aerospace applications
Additional Qualifications:
Ability to travel (approximately 15-20%) including international
Previous experience on A350 and knowledge of ABD requirements a plus
Strong project engineering, analytic skills as well as a strong systems engineering background
Demonstrated leadership, teaming, global coordination and communication skills
Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Demonstrated ability in driving Six Sigma, and has a proven track record of productivity improvements
Ability to calmly deal with high pressure complex technical, production, and regulatory issues in an objective manner, developing/executing cross functional plans based on sound technical decisions
Ability to work across organizational boundaries, builds relationships quickly, and deals with ambiguity
Advanced communications/ presentation/ leadership/ people skills are essential
Very strong work ethic
