Job Description
We are seeking a Process Technician to join our Rochester, NY team. As a Process Technician at this site, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Material handling: includes taking samples, weighing in of materials, packaging of goods and materials
Operation of production equipment and monitoring status of the production processes
Ability to read, follow and execute all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining all necessary shift paperwork including written and electronic records
Perform all housekeeping duties according to GMP standards; maintaining a clean workspace and environment
100% adherence to all safety practices and quality assurance systems including ISO 9001 and ISO 22000
Job Qualifications
In order to be qualified for this role, the following is required:
High School Diploma/GED equivalent and at least one year of plant, manufacturing or industrial experience
Must have availability for shift work: rotational shift schedule of 4 days on (2-12 hour am shifts from 6am to 6pm then 2-12 hour PM shifts from 6pm to 6am) and 4 days off
Ability to work overtime, including nights, weekends, holidays and short notice call in if required
Must be able to handle physical demands of the position including frequent lifting of up to 55 lbs.
Willing and able to climb stairs and ladders, stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel; visual acuity for close work; able to reach overhead; able to hear and respond to alarms
Willing to submit to, and able to pass, a comprehensive pre-employment background check, drug screen and physical agility test
The following additional skill sets are preferred by the site:
AS/BS degree in a scientific or technical field
2 years or more of plant, manufacturing or industrial experience
Previous experience as a Process Technician, Operations Technician, Line Manufacturer or related role
