Powertrain PVT Engineer, Chicago Assembly Plant

Position Duties
Drive resolution of Powertrain customer concerns
Develop countermeasures for design, supplier and process issues
Support component engineering / supplier part trials, SREA, WERS, etc.
Perform vehicle and assembly process audits
Support PMT new model launch build events
Assimilate quality concern data from in-plant indicators, warranty, and GQRS in order to drive improvement
Act as primary conduit to PT Engineering for quality concerns related to CAP product
Analyze warranty claims, contact dealer technicians for repair information, request parts back
Develop BSAQ projects to meet Powertrain objectives
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent computer skills
Knowledge of Powertrain systems: Fuel, Cooling, Air Induction, Exhaust, Calibration and Controls, Engine
Transmission, Mounts and / or Driveline.
Strong problem solving mindset
Preferred Requirements
Knowledge of the following systems is a plus: AWS, Data Cubes, Info Link, BSAQ, ECB, EVB, AIMS, WERS, QLS, ECATS, 6 Sigma Green/Black
Prefer working knowledge of engine and transmission function
Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus
